Naruto’s eyelids brushed Sasuke’s temple as he looked down at the other. He could tell Sasuke was getting sleepy. His eyelids were beating slowly, and his voice quiet and muddled as he replied. “I don’t really know what I want… I just want to be here…Being here with you is making me…happy.” Naruto grinned as his left cheek was pushed to his eyelid from the pressure of Sasuke’s nuzzling. As much as Sasuke tried to be such a hard-ass, he was really cute when he let himself go.
Naruto shifted his weight and scooted closer to Sasuke, so that the Uchiha could rest his head on Naruto’s shoulder. He slipped his hand from Sasuke’s shoulder to his back, and rubbed it slowly. “It’s okay, just go to sleep. You must be really tired,” he chuckled to himself lightly, “I probably haven’t been helping very much…”
He laid there quietly, watching Sasuke fall asleep and thinking about what he had said. “Being with me makes you happy, huh?” He whispered, more to himself than to Sasuke. “We’ve come a long way if you’re willing to admit that…” He smiled, and rubbed his nose with his free hand. “But, being with you makes me happy, too.”
Sasuke stirred, waking slowly, reluctant to open his eyes as he tried to will his mind back into a state of unconsciousness; there was light flooding into the room, though, and it was bright enough to pierce through his eyelids, making it impossible for him to go back to sleep. He sighed and rolled on to his back, stretching as he did so.
Realizing that his arms moved across nothing but bundled up sheets that were cold to the touch, he opened his eyes, squinting slightly as he tried to adjust to the sunlight. Naruto wasn’t in bed next to him anymore, and judging by the temperature of the sheets he hadn’t been for a while. Sasuke’s mouth turned downward in a small frown - the idiot never woke up before him, in fact, he usually had to force the dobe to get out of bed at a decent hour.
What time was it exactly?
He laid sprawled out across the bed for a few more minutes, staring at the ceiling, before he hoisted himself upward into a sitting position. He felt a lot better today; the sleep he had gotten had really helped chase away whatever was ailing him the night before. He rolled his eyes to himself while contemplating his quick recovery, knowing that Naruto was going to talk his ear off about what a great caretaker he had been as soon as he figured out that he was no longer sick.
Dragging himself out of bed, he walked to the bathroom, brushing his teeth and splashing some water on his face before making his way out into the living room to look for his roommate.
“Kay. We’re goin’ to Pleasure Town,” he said, smirking.
“Well that’s the one thing we’ve got.” Naruto replied reassuringly. “So, um… my place at 7? Wear your lacy panties.”
